1. Our commitment
BusyBee Labs Pty Ltd (ABN 68 688 853 723), trading as BusyBeeDoc, is committed to making busybeedoc.com usable for as many people as possible, including people with disability and people using assistive technologies such as screen readers, screen magnifiers, and keyboard-only navigation.
Accessibility matters to us as a healthcare marketing agency: we build websites for medical practices whose patients span every level of ability, so we hold our own site to the same standard we ask of the sites we build.
2. The standard we aim for
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. WCAG 2.1 AA is the benchmark referenced by Australian government digital standards and is widely treated as the practical measure of an accessible website.
We describe this as a target we work towards rather than a guarantee of complete conformance. Accessibility is an ongoing process, and parts of the site are always being improved.
3. Steps we take
In building and maintaining this site, we work to:
- Use semantic, structured HTML so headings, lists, and landmarks are clear to assistive technology
- Provide text alternatives for meaningful images
- Support keyboard navigation and visible focus states for interactive elements
- Maintain sufficient colour contrast between text and its background
- Build responsive layouts that reflow and remain usable when zoomed or viewed on small screens
- Label forms clearly and describe errors in text, not colour alone
- Write in plain, clear language wherever we can
4. Known limitations
We are honest about where we fall short. Some parts of the site may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA, including:
- Third-party or embedded content (for example scheduling widgets, maps, or analytics tools) whose accessibility we do not fully control
- Animated or motion effects, which we are progressively reviewing to respect reduced-motion preferences
- Older content that pre-dates our current standards and is being updated over time
