More Australians search "mental health care plan" each month than search for a psychologist by name. They are trying to work out what a GP referral gets them, what it costs after the rebate, and who has an opening. A practice website that only introduces the practitioners answers none of that.
A patient with a mental health treatment plan wants to know the session fee, the Medicare rebate and the gap. Practices routinely leave it off the site, so the person calls three practices to ask, and books with whichever answers first.
The single most common reason an enquiry goes nowhere is a waitlist the patient only discovers after making contact. Saying plainly whether you are taking new clients, and roughly when, filters better than any landing page.
People search for the difficulty they are having and for the funding that covers it. A page per practitioner cannot rank for either, however good the bios are.
Telehealth widens the catchment past the suburb the practice sits in, and it is searched for directly. Left as a line in the FAQ, it does no work.
A page explaining the mental health treatment plan pathway, in the words patients use
Fees, rebates and the gap stated plainly, so the question is answered before the call
Current availability, kept current, so an enquiry is not a dead end
A page per service people search separately: child, couples, telehealth
Local Pack and Google Business Profile work for the catchment
Reporting tied to enquiry volume rather than impressions
Seen enough? Let’s talk about your practice.
Australian monthly volumes, Semrush, September 2026.
A search about the funding pathway, not the practitioner, and it runs at difficulty 24. A practice that explains the plan clearly, including what it does and does not cover, meets people a step earlier than its competitors.
The obvious term, and the hardest. It resolves largely to the Local Pack, so it is won through Google Business Profile and proximity rather than page copy.
High intent and specific. Worth a page only if the practice genuinely offers it, and worth saying plainly if it does not, because the alternative is a phone call that wastes both parties.
A different service, a different reader, and its own page. Parents searching this are not served by a general practice page.
The most winnable term in the set. Low competition, and it lifts the practice out of a single-suburb catchment.
Whether the site answers the rebate and availability questions at all. It usually does not.
The treatment plan explainer and the fee page, which together do most of the conversion work.
Child, couples and telehealth get their own pages, because they are separate searches.
Monthly, on the measures that decide whether the work paid for itself. No ranking guarantees.
Growth + Search is $700/mo, inc. GST, for any practice size.
Mental health copy is the easiest place to drift into claims about outcomes. It is reviewed by a doctor under the same National Law before it goes live.
We build for how the work is actually referred and rebated, because that is what decides whether an enquiry becomes a booking.
Every client is a health service under the same advertising rules, so the constraints are the starting point.

Pick the path that fits the practice, and we will tell you honestly what it will take.
I need a professional, AHPRA-compliant website. I don't want to talk to anyone.
I want everything in Launch, plus a team actively growing my online presence: SEO, Google Business Profile, content, and a real strategy.
I want done-for-you marketing at scale, built around what my practice actually needs: SEO, content, ads, GBP, GP warming, reputation. I want a team that knows my practice and an ongoing relationship.
Only need one thing, not a full plan?
