The challenge

Mindscape had two opportunities running in parallel. First, telehealth meant the practice no longer had to be limited to its local catchment. It could serve referrals nationwide. Second, the search landscape was shifting fast: AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity were starting to answer patient questions about mental health conditions directly inside search results. The practice needed to be the source those AI answers cite, not the link buried beneath them.

How we built it

  Built a deep library of educational, AHPRA-compliant content on the conditions Mindscape treats: bipolar affective disorder (BPAD), borderline personality disorder (BPD), ADHD, depression, and anxiety, written in the format AI engines actually quote.

What changed

• Page 1 rankings (positions 3-6) across a wide stack of BPAD, bipolar affective disorder, BPD and related condition explainer queries. This is the exact educational surface AI Overviews and answer engines lift from.

• Owning the definitional space for BPAD: "what is BPAD", "BPAD meaning", "BPAD in psychiatry", "BPAD full form" and similar queries all sit on page 1 with five-figure impressions in aggregate.

• Dominant on branded search: top 3 nationally for the practice name with a click-through rate well above industry benchmarks.

• Growing high-intent location queries year-on-year as the national telehealth catchment widens beyond the original suburb.
